University of Arizona Baseball

Pedro was a huge fan of baseball, but an even bigger fan of his son, Rio. After high school, Rio attended Mesa Community College and joined the University of Arizona Baseball Team as a walk-on. Because there are limited scholarships to disperse amongst the 35 players on an NCAA roster, walk-ons often fill critical gaps for college teams. Therefore, the Pedro Gomez Foundation is proud to partner with the University of Arizona baseball team to support supplemental scholarship opportunities for walk-on athletes.
